Medical First Responder
American ERT as a certified National Safety Council Training Center, now offers the NSC's First Responder Program that provides employees with the knowledge and skills that they need to confidently care for victims of industrial injuries and sudden illnesses. This program includes all content from the Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare and Professional Rescuers Course, plus delivers the latest CPR and ECC guidelines through a combination of instruction, Video-Self-Instruction (VSI) and hands-on training. The program also covers EMS response and operations, as well as mass-casualty incidents and triage. In addition, you'll learn legal and ethical issues relating to emergency care. This program meets and exceeds the US Department of Transportation First Responder National Standard Curriculum, and incorporates the latest American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and AED use.
