American ERT uses an instructional staff of trained and experienced hazardous materials response specialist. All hazardous materials courses are continually updated in order to provide the most current information in a world where new chemicals are produced and formulated every day. Live chemicals are also used in a few of the courses that allow the participants to see chemical reactions and responses “up close and personal.”

Hazardous Materials Curriculum:

These courses meet and exceed OSHA 1910.120 and NFPA 471-72.

 

  • First Responder Awareness Level
  • First Responder Operations Level
  • Hazardous Materials Technician Level
  • Hazardous Materials Specialist Level
  • Hazardous Materials On-Scene Incident Commander
  • Annual Refresher Training
  • Specialty Response Courses
    -- Railcar, Highway, Intermodal
    -- Industrial, and Maritime
